What You'll Achieve: Lead cross-functional teams from concept to prototyping, optimize thermal management systems, and mentor junior engineers while driving patentable innovations. Work with industry-leading simulation tools and state-of-the-art testing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Design and validate mechanical systems using CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) for stress and thermal optimization
- Lead prototype development through rapid iteration cycles
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams for integrated solutions
- Document technical specifications and prepare patent disclosures
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and technical guidance
- Ensure compliance with FAA/DOT aerospace regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing
- Expertise in CAD/CAE tools and GD&T principles
- Proven track record of hardware development from concept to production
- Strong analytical skills with experimental design experience
- Knowledge of composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience with wind tunnel testing and CFD simulation
