Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation through production implementation
- Develop detailed CAD models and technical documentation for precision manufacturing systems
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for performance optimization
- Collaborate with electrical/software engineers on integrated system architecture
- Prototype testing and validation in advanced R&D lab environment
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in precision mechanical design for automated systems
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record of delivering complex electromechanical assemblies
- Familiarity with GD&T, DFMA, and ISO 9001 standards
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems and motion control
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic approach
