Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of UAV propulsion components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for stress analysis and thermal performance optimization
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and Bill of Materials (BOMs)
- Coordinate prototype testing and validation in advanced labs
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation
- Collaborate with suppliers on material selection and cost reduction initiatives
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-volume manufacturing
- Expert proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks/CATIA) and simulation tools
- Strong understanding of composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Experience with DOE methodologies and statistical analysis
- ASME GD&T certification required
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
