Responsibilities
- Design and optimize mechanical systems using CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD)
- Lead product development lifecycle from prototyping to mass production
- Analyze thermal, fluid, and structural performance through FEA/CFD simulations
- Develop test plans and validate designs against industry standards (ISO/SAE)
- Mentor junior engineers and document technical specifications
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure component quality and cost-efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Expertise in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFM principles
- Proficiency in simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and PLM systems
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Certified Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience with electric vehicle powertrain systems a plus
