Responsibilities
- Lead conceptualization and prototyping of turbine components using CAD/CAE tools
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Optimize thermal management systems for high-temperature aerospace applications
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA compliance
- Develop test procedures and validate prototypes in lab and field environments
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical design
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and Abaqus simulation tools
- Expertise in materials science for extreme environments (alloys, composites)
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and heat transfer principles
- Experience with DO-160 aerospace certification standards
- Proven project leadership with budget and timeline management
- Active PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months
