Responsibilities
- Design and optimize complex mechanical systems using CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing prototype vehicles and testing methodologies
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal performance
- Manage product lifecycle from initial concept through mass production
- Research and implement advanced materials (composites, alloys) for weight reduction
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and automotive safety standards
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of automotive experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and simulation tools
- Proven track record of delivering production-ready mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC)
- Certification in Six Sigma or Project Management (PMP) preferred
- Experience with electric vehicle powertrain integration
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve ambiguous technical challenges
