Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production using CAD/CAM tools
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for component optimization
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation including CAD drawings, BOMs, and test protocols
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration
- Prototype, test, and validate mechanical solutions in our advanced R&D lab
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for continuous improvement
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques to enhance product performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial automation
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record of managing complex projects from concept to production
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME standards, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with motion control systems and pneumatic/hydraulic design
- Certification in Six Sigma or similar quality methodology
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams
