Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex electromechanical systems.
- Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed 2D and 3D models and assembly drawings.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and stress testing to ensure product reliability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers and software developers.
- Manage the Detailed Design phase, including GD&T documentation and Bill of Materials (BOM) creation.
- Oversee the transition of prototypes to mass production, optimizing for manufacturability.
- Conduct rigorous testing on prototypes and iterate designs based on empirical data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design.
- Proven expertise in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Proficient in CAD/CAM tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor.
- Strong understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes, and assembly methods.
- Experience with rapid prototyping technologies (3D printing, CNC machining).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
