Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using CAD/SolidWorks for automotive components
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for performance validation
- Develop detailed engineering specifications and prototype testing protocols
- Mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and ASME standards
- Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate IoT sensors into mechanical assemblies
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and scalability
- Present technical findings to executive stakeholders and industry partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and MATLAB/Simulink
- Proven track record in DFMEA and tolerance analysis methodologies
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience with electric vehicle powertrain systems
- Strong project management skills using Agile methodologies
- Prior experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping technologies
