Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace components using CAD/CAM tools
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural analysis and fluid dynamics
- Develop test protocols and oversee validation of prototypes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Certification in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) required
- Experience with DO-160 environmental standards
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems
