Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and prototyping of automotive components using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Conduct FEA/CFD analysis to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs for production readiness
- Collaborate with R&D teams to implement material innovations and lightweighting strategies
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for quality assurance
- Interface with suppliers to optimize component sourcing and cost reduction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and ASME standards
- Experience with additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping
- Proven track record in DFM/DFA methodologies
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
