Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept to prototyping using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for product optimization
- Develop test protocols and validate designs against industry standards (ISO, ASME)
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Collaborate with R&D on material innovation and sustainable manufacturing processes
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships for mechanical components
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of progressive experience
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks) and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong understanding of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and DFM principles
- Proven track record in complex product development from concept to production
- Experience with mechatronics integration and motion system design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively pursuing certification
- Excellent problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making abilities
