Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and analysis of complex mechanical systems and components from initial concept through production.
- Conduct advanced engineering calculations, simulations (FEA, CFD), and material selections to optimize performance, reliability, and cost.
- Manage full lifecycle projects, including defining scope, setting timelines, allocating resources, and ensuring successful delivery on schedule and within budget.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate mechanical designs seamlessly.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, analyze results, and implement design modifications based on empirical data.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering and product development.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, specifications, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably in industrial, automotive, or aerospace sectors.
- Proven expertise with leading CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD Inventor, CATIA) and advanced FEA/CFD analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, casting, injection molding, additive manufacturing) and DFM/DFA principles.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage timelines, and effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering change management processes.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
