Apex Robotics is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead our next generation of high-precision robotic systems. Responsibilities
- Lead the full product lifecycle from conceptualization and prototyping to mass production.
- Develop detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks or Creo.
- Conduct rigorous FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to ensure structural integrity and optimization.
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineering teams to integrate mechatronic systems.
- Manage vendor relationships for custom component manufacturing and assembly.
- Perform root-cause analysis on design failures and implement robust engineering changes.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical design reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in robotic system design or high-precision machinery.
- Expert-level proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and material science.
- Proven track record of taking complex mechanical assemblies from prototype to production.
- Experience with PDM/PLM systems and engineering change management processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
