Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design lifecycle of mechanical aerospace components using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop comprehensive FEA/CFD simulations for thermal and structural analysis
- Prototype testing and validation in ISO-certified laboratory environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (aerodynamics, avionics, manufacturing) on integrated systems
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews for design compliance
- Generate detailed engineering documentation and regulatory compliance reports
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing processes for aerospace applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years aerospace experience
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS)
- Strong background in thermodynamics and fluid mechanics principles
- FAA/EASA certification experience or equivalent regulatory knowledge
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic failure analysis methodologies
- Active P.E. license or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
