Responsibilities
- Lead design and prototyping of automated mechanical systems for solar tracking platforms
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations using ANSYS
- Develop detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings with SolidWorks
- Collaborate with electrical engineers on integrated system testing
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Optimize designs for cost reduction and manufacturability
- Prepare technical documentation for client proposals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and ASME standards
- Experience with materials selection for harsh environments
- Proven project management using Agile methodologies
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Portfolio showcasing complex mechanical assemblies
