Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation to production release
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings with GD&T specifications
- Collaborate with R&D to prototype and validate mechanical systems
- Optimize designs for weight reduction, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) with 5+ years aerospace/automotive experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing standards
- Proven track record of DFM/FMEA implementation
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Excellent problem-solving with root cause analysis skills
