Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Lead the mechanical design of complex systems using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards.
- Simulation & Analysis: Perform rigorous FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance.
- Prototyping: Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to oversee rapid prototyping, testing, and validation of new product designs.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed engineering drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and assembly instructions.
- Project Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables within cross-functional agile teams.
- Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for material optimization and cost reduction without compromising product quality or safety.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar).
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, sheet metal) and material properties.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
