Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex systems and components from concept through to production.
- Conduct detailed stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and dynamic simulations to ensure product reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers to define product requirements.
- Oversee the prototyping process, including 3D printing, CNC machining, and rapid prototyping.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on design best practices and CAD methodologies.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including BOMs, design reports, and manufacturing instructions.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material science.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing products to market.
