Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design of electromechanical systems, including conceptualization, detailed design, and final documentation.
- Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor) to create 3D models and 2D engineering drawings compliant with GD&T standards.
- Perform complex stress analysis, thermal analysis, and dynamic simulations using FEA tools (ANSYS or Abaqus) to validate product integrity.
- Develop and manage product prototypes, oversee rapid prototyping processes, and execute rigorous testing protocols to validate design performance.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are producible, cost-effective, and optimized for assembly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering issues that arise during the development and production lifecycle.
- Document technical specifications, test reports, and design standards to support the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably within the robotics, automation, or medical device industries.
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Strong working knowledge of FEA analysis software (ANSYS, NASTRAN, or similar).
- Experience with manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, injection molding, and 3D printing.
- Excellent understanding of GD&T, materials science, and mechanical principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting.
