Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and development of complex mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using advanced CAD software.
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to validate product performance under various stress and environmental conditions.
- Oversee the prototyping process, including 3D printing, machining, and rapid tooling, ensuring adherence to tight timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and control systems.
- Develop and execute rigorous testing protocols and validation procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations (ISO, ASTM).
- Create detailed engineering documentation, including BOMs, manufacturing drawings, and technical specifications for production teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within the robotics, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Siemens NX.
- Strong working knowledge of FEA tools like ANSYS or Abaqus.
- Experience with GD&T standards and tolerance analysis.
- Proven track record of taking products from concept through to production.
