Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design and prototyping for aerospace components using CAD/CAM tools
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and stress testing to validate structural integrity
- Develop manufacturing processes and optimize production workflows
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for quality assurance
- Collaborate with R&D teams to implement innovative material solutions
- Prepare technical documentation and compliance reports for regulatory submissions
- Analyze field performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ANSYS simulation software
- Strong understanding of GD&T, ASME standards, and ISO certification processes
- Proven track record in managing product development from concept to production
- Experience with additive manufacturing and composite material applications
- Certification in Six Sigma or Project Management (PMP) highly desirable
