Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of mechanical components and systems using CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and stress testing to validate product integrity and safety.
- Oversee the prototyping process, including 3D printing, machining, and assembly.
- Work closely with electrical and software engineers to integrate mechanical systems into broader product architectures.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly manuals.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance during the design review process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and development.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with FEA software (ANSYS, Abaqus) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
