Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design for aerospace propulsion systems using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Conduct FEA simulations and thermal analysis for critical components
- Develop prototypes and oversee validation testing in our advanced lab facilities
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams on integrated system solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Ensure compliance with FAA/EASA aerospace regulations and safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks) and simulation software (ANSYS)
- Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Demonstrated experience with propulsion systems or powertrain design
- Ability to obtain US security clearance (if applicable)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
