Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation through production release
- Develop CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration and testing protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and optimize design for manufacturability
- Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies and documentation standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA with advanced surfacing capabilities
- Strong background in materials science and composite manufacturing processes
- Certification in ANSYS or Abaqus for structural/thermal analysis
- Proven track record of delivering complex electromechanical systems
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
