Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design for aerospace components using SolidWorks and NX
- Execute FEA/CFD simulations for thermal stress analysis and performance optimization
- Develop DFM/DFA strategies for rapid prototyping and production scalability
- Mentor junior engineers while driving continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Interface with suppliers to validate material properties and manufacturing capabilities
- Present technical findings to executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering + 7+ years aerospace/defense experience
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Proven track record in additive manufacturing for high-reliability systems
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
- Deep understanding of ASME Y14.5 and MIL-STD-31000 standards
- Experience with DO-160 environmental qualification testing protocols
