Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation to production release using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to optimize structural integrity and performance
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and assembly documentation per AS9100 standards
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure quality and compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) to integrate complex systems
- Research and implement advanced materials and manufacturing techniques for performance enhancement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS Suite with proven simulation expertise
- Demonstrated knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5, and ISO standards
- Strong background in composite material design and manufacturing processes
- Experience with rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing techniques
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
