Responsibilities
- Lead the full product lifecycle from conceptual design through to manufacturing and assembly.
- Perform advanced stress analysis, FEA, and thermal simulations to ensure design robustness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, electrical, and control systems engineers.
- Drive continuous improvement of existing mechanical assemblies to enhance performance and reduce cost.
- Draft detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks/CATIA.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical design reviews to maintain quality standards.
- Oversee prototype testing and iterate designs based on performance data and field feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within robotics or aerospace.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred, CATIA or Creo acceptable).
- Deep understanding of GD&T, material properties, and manufacturing processes (CNC machining, injection molding, 3D printing).
- Proven track record of managing complex design projects from concept to production.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical data to stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for troubleshooting and optimization.
