Responsibilities
- Lead the full product lifecycle from conceptualization to final prototype testing.
- Design complex mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks or Creo with a focus on DFM/DFA principles.
- Perform detailed FEA simulations to validate thermal and structural integrity under stress.
- Collaborate with electrical and firmware engineering teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
- Manage vendor relationships for custom component fabrication and quality control audits.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in CAD data management and version control.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on field failures and iterate designs for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 7+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics or precision machinery.
- Expert-level proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo) and PDM systems.
- Strong grasp of GD&T, material selection, and high-precision manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to perform static and dynamic analysis using FEA tools (Ansys/SolidWorks Simulation).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for creative problem-solving in challenging environments.
