Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks and PDM systems.
- Lead thermal and structural FEA analysis to ensure optimal performance under stress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional electrical and software teams to integrate PCB enclosures and sensor housings.
- Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle from conceptual prototyping to mass production.
- Conduct design reviews and implement engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical product design, ideally in robotics or consumer electronics.
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and material selection (metals and plastics).
- Proven track record of managing projects through successful manufacturing transition.
- Experience with Rapid Prototyping techniques (3D printing, CNC, Laser cutting).
