Responsibilities
- Lead Mechanical Design: Spearhead the design and development of complex mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- CAD & Prototyping: Utilize advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor) to create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and assembly documentation.
- Prototyping & Testing: Oversee the rapid prototyping process, including 3D printing and machining, and conduct rigorous testing to validate design performance and safety.
- Project Management: Collaborate with project managers and production teams to manage timelines, budgets, and resource allocation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Material Selection: Analyze material properties and manufacturing processes to recommend optimal solutions for cost-effectiveness and durability.
- Maintenance & Improvement: Troubleshoot existing product issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and user experience.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within the manufacturing, robotics, or industrial equipment sectors.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo; familiarity with ANSYS or MATLAB is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex engineering problems and propose innovative solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile Mindset: Experience working in an Agile or fast-paced development environment is preferred.
