Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process from concept ideation to final production release.
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
- Conduct rigorous structural and thermal analysis (FEA/CFD) to validate design integrity.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers.
- Build, test, and iterate on functional prototypes to ensure product reliability and performance.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure manufacturing precision.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous technical improvement.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality benchmarks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PLM software.
- Deep understanding of GD&T, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), and DFA (Design for Assembly).
- Proven experience performing structural and thermal simulations using FEA tools.
- Strong hands-on experience with rapid prototyping and mechanical testing methodologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus, but not strictly required.
