Responsibilities
- System Design & Architecture: Lead the design of medium and low voltage electrical power distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, and switchboards for commercial and industrial projects.
- Load Analysis: Perform detailed load calculations and power studies to ensure system reliability and efficiency under peak demand conditions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to NEC, IEEE, and local building codes and safety standards.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance during project lifecycles, from conception to commissioning.
- Client Collaboration: Interface directly with clients and architects to translate technical requirements into feasible engineering solutions.
- Project Management: Assist in project scheduling and resource planning, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent field of study.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in electrical power systems engineering.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in California is highly preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD), ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or similar power system analysis software.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of power system protection, grounding, and control systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
