Responsibilities
- Lead Reservoir Management: Spearhead reservoir simulation and modeling projects to optimize production forecasts and enhance recovery factors.
- Field Development Planning: Design and execute comprehensive field development plans, including drilling, completion, and workover strategies.
- HSE Compliance: Champion Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, ensuring all engineering activities adhere to rigorous regulatory requirements.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and professional development to junior engineers and geoscientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present complex technical data to senior management, investors, and regulatory bodies with clarity and precision.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze drilling and completion costs to identify efficiency opportunities and reduce operational expenditures without compromising safety.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in upstream oil & gas, with a focus on offshore drilling and reservoir engineering.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Petrel, Eclipse, or CMG; experience with drilling simulation tools is a plus.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex geological and engineering challenges.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of influencing cross-functional teams.
