Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design for aerospace components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal analysis
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings with GD&T tolerances
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for rapid prototyping and testing
- Drive DFM initiatives to optimize production efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and document design methodologies
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks/CATIA and ANSYS simulation tools
- Deep understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes
- AS9100 certification and FAA regulation knowledge
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification
- Proven track record of delivering certified aerospace components
