Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and validation of complex mechanical systems
- Develop and optimize CAD models using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for performance and durability analysis
- Collaborate with suppliers on component prototyping and testing
- Create technical documentation and engineering drawings
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA V5
- Strong knowledge of FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Experience with powertrain or transmission systems
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligible
- Proven track record of DFM/A and DFMEA implementation
