Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept validation to prototyping
- Develop CAD models and perform FEA/CFD simulations for aerospace components
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes
- Create detailed technical documentation and design specifications
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Research and implement emerging materials and manufacturing technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace/defense
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards
- Proven experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain
