Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of turbine components using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal modeling for validation
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize DFM/DFA processes
- Develop test protocols and oversee prototype validation cycles
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing technologies
- Ensure compliance with ASME, FAA, and ISO aerospace standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) with 5+ years aerospace experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record in turbomachinery or propulsion systems design
- Familiarity with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis methodologies
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing standards
