Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and validation of aerospace propulsion components using CAD/CAE tools
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for high-precision mechanical assemblies
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural and thermal performance analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electronics and software
- Create detailed technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and test procedures
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for design methodologies and product quality
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T, ASME standards, and DFMEA methodologies
- Hands-on experience with material selection and manufacturing processes (machining, composites, etc.)
- Proven track record of bringing complex mechanical systems from concept to production
