Job Description
NexaMotion Technologies is seeking an experienced, innovative, and driven Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our premier product development group. In this role, you will lead the architecture, design, and optimization of next-generation electro-mechanical systems. You will work within a high-caliber team of engineers to translate complex ideas into production-ready physical systems, utilizing state-of-the-art tools and manufacturing methodologies.
We offer a highly collaborative environment, cutting-edge facilities, and a competitive compensation package designed for top-tier engineering talent. If you thrive on solving complex structural, thermal, and kinematic challenges, this is your next career destination.
Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of complex electro-mechanical systems from initial concept phase through high-volume production.
- Perform structural, thermal, and dynamic simulations using finite element analysis (FEA) to validate design integrity.
- Create highly detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings with precise application of GD&T principles.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, software, and systems validation.
- Coordinate directly with manufacturing partners and tooling suppliers to resolve design-for-manufacturability (DFM) challenges.
- Conduct formal design reviews, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and structural tolerance stack-up analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical field.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in mechanical product design, ideally within automotive, aerospace, or advanced robotics.
- Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or PTC Creo).
- Deep technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, including precision injection molding, die casting, and CNC machining.
- Strong working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 standards for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven history of launching complex products to market.
