Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle for aerospace components using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop manufacturing documentation and oversee prototyping processes
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for compliance
- Interface with clients to translate technical requirements into actionable designs
- Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies and industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years experience in aerospace or high-tech mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS Suite
- Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards
- Proven track record with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Active PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing protocols
