Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design lifecycle from conceptualization to production launch for high-precision robotic assemblies.
- Perform advanced structural and thermal FEA analysis to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
- Design complex mechanical components using SolidWorks, ensuring manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical and software teams to integrate mechatronic systems seamlessly.
- Define testing protocols and conduct rigorous validation of prototypes to meet safety and performance standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in design documentation and change control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred).
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in product design, preferably in robotics, aerospace, or automotive sectors.
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD software, specifically SolidWorks or Siemens NX.
- Strong background in GD&T and familiarity with CNC, injection molding, and additive manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to perform kinematic modeling and dynamic simulation.
- Excellent communication skills with a track record of cross-departmental project leadership.
