Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design projects using CAD software (SolidWorks/CATIA) for aerospace components
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for structural validation
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and specifications for production partners
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and test new propulsion technologies
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design processes
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA aerospace regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of aerospace experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes (machining, composites)
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems on schedule
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing standards preferred
- PE license or PMP certification highly desirable
