Responsibilities
- Design and iterate complex mechanical systems using SolidWorks/CATIA.
- Perform rigorous Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to ensure structural integrity.
- Lead cross-functional design reviews to align with manufacturing and electrical teams.
- Develop detailed technical specifications and BOMs for new product introductions.
- Mentor junior engineers on best practices in DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
- Collaborate with vendors to source high-precision components and materials.
- Optimize existing product designs to improve efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in product design and development.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or NX preferred).
- Expertise in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Strong knowledge of materials science, particularly high-strength alloys and composites.
- Proven track record of taking complex designs from prototype to mass production.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
