Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings for aerospace components
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural and thermal analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on prototyping and testing
- Optimize designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace/defense
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards
- Experience with composite material design and analysis
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems
- Active PE license or willingness to obtain
