Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Develop and optimize aerospace components for performance, weight, and manufacturability
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural and thermal analysis
- Create detailed technical documentation (drawings, BOMs, test plans)
- Mentor junior engineers and drive design best practices
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams for prototype validation and production support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation software
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
