Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace components using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis for structural integrity and thermal management
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and GD&T specifications
- Collaborate with materials scientists to optimize composite material selection
- Drive prototype testing and validation in our advanced lab facilities
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Interface with FAA/EASA certification teams for compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of aerospace/defense mechanical design experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS suite
- FAA Part 25 certification experience
- Deep knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing processes
- Strong background in vibration analysis and fatigue modeling
- Proven track record of leading complex product development
- Active PE license required
