Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation through production release
- Develop advanced CAD models and simulations using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace-grade components
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with R&D on material innovation and thermal management systems
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA certification standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for design efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years aerospace/defense mechanical design experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and finite element analysis
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards
- Proven track record with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- FAA Part 25 certification experience highly valued
- Excellent problem-solving with systematic troubleshooting approach
- Active PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months
