Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop detailed CAD models and technical documentation for aerospace components
- Conduct FEA/CFD analysis to validate performance under extreme thermal and stress conditions
- Mentor junior engineers and optimize design workflows using lean manufacturing principles
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and test novel propulsion systems
- Interface with suppliers to ensure manufacturing feasibility and cost optimization
- Present technical solutions to stakeholders and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards, and DFMEA methodologies
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from prototype to production
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and precision
