Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept validation through prototyping and production
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Collaborate with materials engineers to optimize component durability and weight
- Conduct rigorous testing protocols and failure mode analysis
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-precision mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX)
- Strong analytical skills with FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Deep understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis principles
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on schedule
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
